SWRSL provided a team to execute topographical surveys of Yeoford’s railway, conducting CRT management and then undertaking a successful track removal and reinstatement.
Project Outline
The team were required to dig out to the bridge deck in order to allow the principal contractor to undertake tasks such as shot blasting, waterproofing and re-painting as well as any necessary steel repairs.
Once the relevant works were completed, SWRSL installed new geo textile, followed by re-ballasting then new sleepers. In addition new rails were installed in order to be compliant to NWR standards. When the tracks works were completed, it was tamped along with appropriate sections either side, prior to hand back. The works were completed ahead of schedule.
Project Result
SWRSL became responsible for welding and also the follow up tamp and track monitoring.
